In the next few months, NHL 17 and Madden NFL 17 will hit gaming shelves. These two big sports releases of the year are expected to offer updated gameplay, improved physics engine and new roster. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about Madden NFL 17 and NHL 17 release date, gameplay, review and rumors.

To begin let's start with changes in NHL 17. Brian Mazique of Forbes says the overall look of the game is outstanding. In terms of animations and graphics, the NHL game continues to be one the most visually appealing sports video game in the market. Furthermore, the face scans of players are very accurate. NHL players have detailed appearance that really resembles their real-life counterparts.

For gameplay changes, developers add the ability for defenders and attackers to jockey for position in front of the goalie. Net battles have been missing in the hockey simulation game for a long time, and it is one of the most fan-requested update.

The biggest gameplay update aside from net battles in NHL 17 is the goalkeepers. In an interview with Polygon, NHL producer Sean Ramjagsingh said goalies can now make different saves that they have never made before. In the next NHL game, goalies have the ability to move their limbs, glove and/or stick to make "reactionary" saves.

With the improvements mentioned above, it is clear that gameplay is going to be the strong suit for NHL 17. The popular hockey simulation game will be released on September 13 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Meanwhile, let's check out the new features of Madden 17, which EA Sports describes as "the most complete and authentic football experience we've ever delivered." The changes in the game come in three elements - offence, defense and special teams.

Compare to previous releases, there's more player control in Madden 17. Big-back players are now armed with stiffer arms and better trucks, while smaller players have better spins and jukes.

Additionally, new ball carrier special moves looks amazing. Gamers can now see a ball carrier path assist when their players are heading further down the field. Tackles battles is also coming to Madden 17. Players can now break free when they are trapped.

Gamers should expect many tweaks and additions to gameplay will be introduced in the upcoming football simulation game. EA Sports would not describe it as the most complete Madden ever for nothing.

Madden NFL 17 will be released on 23 August for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
