No Man's Sky, the much-anticipated game from Hello Games, finally has its official release date. Get ready to explore the game's randomly-generated universe on June 21. Here's everything you need to know about No Man's Sky gameplay, price and release date on PS4 and PC.

With collaboration of Sony, who has heavily supported Hello Games, No Man's Sky will have physical release on PlayStation 4, partnered with good box art. In addition, Hello Games will offer special merchandise items based on the game. The regular version of the No Man's Sky is priced at $60, and there's also a $150 "Explorer's Edition."

No Man's Sky transports players to the stunning sci-fi galaxy populated by an almost infinite number of planets -- each with their own distinct characteristics. The game's virtual environment is meticulously developed by artists and designers.

Adventurous gamers will no doubt love the game because it will offer endless possibilities. Estimates show players can explore more than 18 quintillion - that's 18 billion billion - planets.

Despite the seemingly unstructured gameplay of No Man's Sky, Game Director Sean Murray said the game does have a conclusion: players have to reach the center of the universe. How can they do that? They need to gather resources and recipes to improve their own spaceship.

"It seems really daunting, but you will be able to upgrade your ship to fly further and further in each jump that you make," Murray told ABC News. In order for players to enhance their spaceship, they have to master the language and resources of more than a few planets.

In a game demo conducted in Los Angeles studio space, Murray showcased the game's major gameplay touchstones: training, exploration, combat, and survival. Just like other open-world games, No Man's Sky asks player to endure dangerous conditions like toxic rain, extreme heat, torturous freezes and other environmental catastrophe.

Imagine being the first person to explore a huge planet, surely it be would an awesome gaming experience.

Interestingly, Hello Games utilized a complex mathematical algorithm to create the game's huge number of planets. With this technology, even the game developers are still surprised by what they discover in planets.

UK based Hello Games first presented No Man's Sky at VGX 2013, releasing a trailer for the game at the same time. During Sony's E3 in June 2014, game developers revealed some of the game's highlights. According to GameSpot, No Man's Sky could also land in VR headsets.
