Gaming fans, especially users of the PlayStation platform, have been awaiting the release of free games for PlayStation Plus for May and June. However, while the free games this May have been released, there are still no word which titles will be available next month.

As we previously reported, a thorough search on various search engines yielded no results for what free games will be available for free to the PlayStation Plus this June. Even known gaming bloggers and other web sites were not able to provide any hint of upcoming titles.

However, it could be noted that most free games are released by independent game developers, and big developers and publishers seem to be shying away from the scheme.

Here are the free games available for the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita this May.

According to Polygon.com, subscribers of PlayStation Plus were given access to six games across PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, last May 5. Sony said that the free games, include Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, Hohokum and The Unfinished Swan.

It will be noted White Paper Games' Ether One, is a new release. Ether One is a first-person adventure which makes the leap from PC to PS4 in June.

Here's the full PlayStation Plus lineup for May:
