Sony only has a week before June rolls in, but the tech giant has not yet unveiled the list of free games that will be featured in next month's PlayStation Plus lineup. But, according to a new rumor, PlayStation fans could get a high-profile game for free next month.
According to Express, a couple of Reddit users were able to get their hands on an email message from Sony. They claimed that these were for the PlayStation Plus collection. Also, the users noted that inspecting the coding of the email would reveal the two titles that will be part of next month's free games giveaway.
As noted by the site, these games are "Gone Home" and "NBA 2K16." If this is true, then it seems Sony is planning on giving PlayStation Plus gamers a big treat in June by offering them high-profile titles.
After all, "Gone Home" just came out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in January of this year. Developed by The Fullbright Company Midnight City, this first person game focuses on exploring a mansion in Portland, Oregon. It's also set in 1995, which means many of the items in the big house came from that era.
Since this game was released for the next-gen consoles, it could be offered to PlayStation 4 users if its part of next month's PlayStation Plus program.
The second game rumored to be included in June is "NBA 2K16." Released in September of last year for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, this game is the latest title from the "NBA 2K" series.
Debuting it in next month's PlayStation Plus program seems very likely especially since its sequel, "NBA 2K17," is expected to come out in September 2016. This could be part of Sony's marketing strategy to build hype around the upcoming game.
These are only some of the games that are expected to be part of PlayStation Plus's program in June. Four more are expected to be unveiled since Sony usually offers six games every month for the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
