Pokémon, a gaming, trading card, an anime franchise that is celebrating its 20th anniversary, is about to bring some interesting action to its fans once again. I'm not only talking about Pokémon Go, the exciting location based game allowing users to search for "pocket monsters" in real places but the release date of the long-awaited Pokémon Z.
Pokémon Z might not be the official name for the game, but it is the next logical letter after the immensely popular Pokémon X and Y, released in October 2013. According to the Venture Capital Post, there has been a leak of Pokémon Z on Reddit, as a new Japanese Amazon website has been revealed with a Pokémon Z product.
That, or something like a Pokémon Z product. The leak shows a lot of things similar to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Pokedex, but it is the "Z" in the product's name that has been the product of a lot of attention. For those interested in the "gotta catch 'em all" phenomenon, there are 720 Pokémon, with a release date of November 12.
More evidence revealing what could be Pokémon Z is a recent issue of Japan's CoroCoro magazine, which has some image online that show Pokémon Z exists, at least in the development stage. There will apparently be a new color variation of Ash's Greninja, also known as "Ash-Greninja", which is a form that Greninja takes when the bond between it has been raised to the limit.
Speaking of new monsters, there are also details about a third legendary from Pokémon X and Pokémon Y being revealed with Zygarde. Apparently, Zygarde will have five different forms that include a blob, cell, dog, snake-like thing, and new Mega Evolution. These versions are respectively known as Core, Cell, 10%, 50%, and Perfect Forms.
The Day Herald reports that there are other speculations that suggest that Xerneas and Yveltal, included in Pokémon X and Y about two years ago, will make an appearance.
So Poke-fans have a lot to be excited about when it comes to this new Pokémon Z game, even though the Pokémon company hasn't made an official announcement. It is very difficult within gaming franchises to keep secrets on new releases, so this leaked news is practically an announcement of Pokémon Z, presumably for a release date sometime in 2016.
So, what about the news of Pokémon Go? The game will be free for download on iOS and Android, but some players might want to pay for some in-game purchases. One out-of-game purchase is a Bluetooth-enabled device that will blink and vibrate whenever a Pokémon is near and has a button to catch the Pokémon.
Pokémon Go has been under development since 2013 in cooperation with Niantic, makers of another location-based game with Ingress. It also does not have an official release date as yet, but it will probably be out in 2016.
So, if you are a Pokémon fan, and you're excited about what these games have to offer, go ahead and leave a comment below. Also, share this article on Pokémon Go and Pokémon Z on Facebook and Twitter, as we are interested in hearing what the fans have to say about these new Pokémon developments.
