The latest rumor about the Pokémon series called "Pokemon Z" says the game will be launched together with another Pokémon game, "Pokemon GO."  However according to a published report from MoviePilot, the 2016 release date of both games may have been canceled. The website cited the developers just finished the game's beta test, and Nintendo has not yet released any official announcements.

Earlier this month, Japanese magazine CoroCoro published some interesting details about "Pokemon Z." The magazine revealed that legendary Pokémon called Zygarde, who appeared in previous game "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y," might appear in the latest installment of the series.

The popular manga magazine went on to explain that Zygarde could be the main Pokémon in the series. The legendary Pokémon is said to have five different forms such as Cell, Core, 10% Form, 50% Form and Complete Form. Furthermore, the snake-like legendary Pokémon has Aura Break ability, which counters the powers of other powerful Pokémon like Xerneas and Yveltal. Pokémon folklore says the creature monitors those who destroy the ecosystem from deep in the cave where it lives.

According to Pokedex, "When the Kalos region's ecosystem falls into disarray, it [Zygarde] appears and reveals its secret power."

Most of the online reports about the Pokémon rumors cited the Nintendo's cycle of announcing and releasing new games. The company is known for making a formal announcement, via a teaser trailer or via a Nintendo Direct episode, before launching a new game. It is unlikely that the company will simply release a game without any official announcement beforehand.

"Pokémon Z" is believed to be the next edition of "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y," which were developed by Game Freak Studios, in cooperation with The Pokémon Company.

On another hand, Pokemon Go is being developed by Niantic Inc., who is perhaps best known for developing augmented-reality game Ingress. The game developer recently received $20 million in funding to assist in the game's development.

Pokémon Go will let players train their own monsters and fight other trainers. The game will also offer a unique system of exchange between trainers and players.  Players can buy virtual Pokémon or accessories that they want with real currency or some in-game token economy.

GameSpot said the augmented-reality game will be released on the App Store and Google Play, and it will have in-app purchases.
