Rainbow Six Siege's next expansion is coming next week. Ubisoft said the Operation Skull Rain is a Brazil-based expansion pack that adds two new operators and a map. These upcoming additions will definitely make the game more exciting. Now, here's the latest about Rainbow Six Siege Skull Rain DLC 3 release date, update and new features.
As with previous Rainbow Six Siege expansions, the Skull Rain DLC is set to bring new operators, map and gameplay updates. The new location puts players in a Brazilian favela that Ubisoft describes as "the most destructible map" of the game.
For the new operators, Skull Rain DLC brings two new operators from Brazil's Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais (BOPE). One of the new operators is offensive specialist, while the other has defense-focused abilities.
Caveira is the new defensive operator. She has a unique Silent Step ability that allows her to easily sneak up on an opponent. In addition, she can immobilize and interrogate an opponent to get the location of all enemies. Game Rant says Caveira's unique ability is a game changer in many tense battles. For her weapons, she is equipped with M12 or SPAS-15 as primary weapon, making her ideal at close range fights. In addition, she can use nitro cell or barbed wire in defensive operations.
For the offensive operator, Capitão is armed with a tactical crossbow that spurts "asphyxiating bolts" in certain radius, along with micro smoke grenades that can hide the movements of his teammates. Capitão's primary weapons are M-249 and PARA-308, while his secondary weapon is PRB92.
GameSpot reported Skull Rain's other additions include angled grip attachment accessory, which will allow players to easily switch from hip firing to aimed sights. In ranked matches, players can give up early if majority of the team votes to do so. However, matches can only be surrendered before the third round begins.
Furthermore, the Season 3 of Rainbow Six Siege is expected to introduce a Tactical Realism custom game mode. This heavily-requested game mode prevents players from marking enemies, making the gadget, compass and weapon panels to be visible in head-up display. Moreover, Tactical Realism eliminates kill confirmations.
Rainbow Six Siege 's Skull Rain DLC will be released on August 2 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Ubisoft is set to reveal more details about the expansion on July 30 during the Xbox Pro League. As for the game's Season 4 DLC, it is expected to become available on October 2016.
Ubisoft previously said Rainbow Six Siege will have four expansions, which will be released three months apart. All expansions of the game are for free download, and they come with new maps, Operators, and game mode.
