The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is one of the most anticipated new devices for 2016. There is very little known about it, since its release date probably won't be until late summer/early fall. This is the latest information about the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 with its Rumored Features, Release Date, and Availability.
So what do we know about the Galaxy Note 6? A recent report from Tech Radar reveals that Samsung has no plans to launch a Galaxy S7 Edge + handset but will instead reinstate the Galaxy Note 6 as the brand's top phablet, at least in the UK. Apparently the reason for this decision was due to "backlash from loyal Note fans", particularly after Samsung apparently did not launch the Note 5 in Europe. Even not in retrospect, that doesn't seem like the smartest move that the company could have made, but they probably had their reasons.
So that is what is known, but the rest is a lot of rumors that are circulating on the Internet, like at websites called Galaxy Note 6 Info. Since most of the negative criticism against the Note 5 was directed toward its absence of a microSD slot, it is a good bet that the Note 6 will more than likely have one, which means that Galaxy Note 6 users will have some excess storage capability.
Another feature that could happen to the Galaxy Note 6 is that it could have a reduction in Megapixels on its camera, going from 16 MP to 12 MP. Yes, you heard that correctly. For years, manufacturers of smart devices have been upping the Megapixels on the cameras, and to users, it certainly looks like advancement. The issue is that it is not necessarily the number of pixels but other factors like the aperture size and adequate amount of light. So Samsung could reduce the number of Megapixels in exchange for an improved camera sensor. In fact, the Parent Herald states that Samsung could be adding a BRITECELL camera in the Galaxy Note 6, which would give it the ability to shoot pictures in low light settings.
There is also talk that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 could have a bigger battery. The Note 5 has a 3,000 mAh, and an upgrade to 4,000 mAh would be just the jump that the users want. Other advancements could be a version of 3DTouch like Apple has on the iPhone 6S, as well as an iris scanner.
There are also some rumors about a folding screen, but that could change all phablets, smartphones, and tablets as we know it. I'm sure there will be more information about that one soon if that were true.
There is sure to be more news on the Galaxy Note 6, but considering that its release date won't be until late this summer (with a projected availability shortly after August), that is a lot of time to pile up rumors, and some that will probably be proven true. Right now, much of the focus on new devices from Samsung come with the inevitable release of the Samsung Galaxy S7, expected to be announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain later this month.
