It seems that Samsung's headaches when it comes to exploding phones is far from over.  While the company is slowly recovering from the problem caused by the exploding Galaxy Note 7, other models from their line-up are raising concerns in the company. There are reports of other Samsung phone models exploding, particularly in Canada.

Other Samsung Models That Explode

A man from Winnipeg reports that he felt his Samsung Galaxy S7 getting warm inside his pocket while he was driving. When he took it out it suddenly exploded and was engulfed in smoke. Good thing that he was able to pull over to the side of the road before the phone exploded and he was able to throw the device outside of his vehicle.  Still he suffered burns on his hands and on his wrists, but he is still thankful that he did not suffer anything worse.

Another consumer said that he was alarmed when he saw his S7 Edge getting hot and so he used an infrared thermometer to check its temperature. He was surprised to see its temperature jumping up so quickly.  

Samsung Canada did not issue a statement right after the incidents. A company representative said that they would be unable to issue a statement without being able to examine the remains of the phones that were involved.

Consumers are rightfully alarmed by the string of incidents involving Samsung devices. Though experts say that while people should be alert, they should not be overly afraid. Freak accidents do happen and while several Samsung phones have exploded, that does not mean that would happen to all smartphones from the company.

If consumers notice that their phones are getting too hot than normal, the first thing that they should do is to take off the case. That should help to bring down the temperature a bit. After that, they should report the incident to the manufacturer.

Samsung has issued a recall for their Galaxy Note 7, where they have asked consumers to send back their devices in fire-proof packaging. They have also announced that they would not be manufacturing the exploding smartphone model anymore. Another controversy involving a different phone model could spell more problems for the Korean tech giant.  Recalling devices costs a great deal for the company, not to mention the damage that it can do to its reputation. People might get scared from buying Samsung phones and devices in the future.
