While Missy is not the first Robertson to make a fashion statement, she is known to have a sophisticated sense of style which appeals to women of all ages.

Missy Robertson decided to design her own clothing line after realizing that there weren't many options available for women her age to look both modest and stylish. "I felt like there was a void in the market for clothing of this type. When I go into a store, I'm immediately drawn to the junior fashions because they're new, they're trendy, they're fresh looking," began Missy in the introductory video to her fashion line.

The issue with the junior section, however, is that the clothing isn't very flattering for mature women. Missy seeks to remedy that problem - "You'll be drawn to [the Missy Robertson] line in the stores just like you are to the junior section in stores; however, this will fit you, and it will flatter you much better than the junior cuts," Missy says. Though she has a colorful, trendier sense of style, Missy isn't wanting to dress like an adolescent - "I still want to be age-appropriate, but I also want to have that younger, fresher, look ... fifty is the new thirty," she jokes.

Missy teamed up with fashion designer Stephanie Carter of Southern Fashion House to make a line of clothing that is both stylish and comfortable enough to go from the office to a ball game. "It's very important to me to have clothes that are not only great looking, but that are very comfortable," she says.

Missy feels as though the Lord has put a calling on her life which is "a bigger purpose than just wearing cute clothes. God has given us a platform with our television show ... to live out there and to make a statement and to be modest and be classy and be fun, all at the same time," she says.

The Missy Robertson line will debut in department stores and local boutiques this month, and is expected to be available online as well beginning April 1. The clothing will be previewed in Dallas during the week of January 23, and will officially launch with a fashion show featuring Missy and Carter in Atlanta on January 30.
