Soldier Field was evacuated this afternoon after a severe storm passed through the stadium. The storm came just as the Baltimore Ravens led the Bears by 10-0, and the game had to be delayed.
The Bears vs. Ravens football game was later resumed after 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2013, but the stadium has already been emptied of the Bears' fans.
With or without the fans, the Bears pushed the Ravens out of their home field by concluding the Week 11 NFL match with a 23-20.
The National Weather Service had issued weather alerts to residents through the Midwest, including Illinois, Indiana, southern Michigan and western Ohio - regions with the greatest chances of seeing tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds.
It was initially predicted that the storm would blow over, but the conditions worsen as it approached the Field. Then, both teams left the field and headed for the locker room.
