Horror game fans have plenty of choices for this year. At the recently concluded E3 2016, Sony released a new teaser for Resident Evil 7 and it introduced zombie-themed game Days Gone. Now, here's the latest round up of update about Resident Evil 7 and Days Gone release date, gameplay and rumors.
Sony surprised fans by announcing the zombie thriller Days Gone, an open-world adventure game. It features a biker named Deacon St. John, who roams around the zombie-infested world and fights of legions of infected. According to Engadget, many gamers loved the game's open-world feature that can be explored by a motorcycle.
Game developers Ron Allen and Eric Jensen told in GameSpot that the game is situated in the Pacific Northwest, specifically in the Oregon area. They added that majority of its population suffered from a disease that turned victims into zombie-like creatures called "Freakers."
Alongside Freakers, there are humans in the game's world and they do desperate things to survive. These non-infected people are one of the major challenges for Deacon's survival.
The game's announcement trailer shows some depth to the character of Deacon St John. The teaser shows his past where he is riding on the motorcycle with his blond love interest. It paints a picture of a man who lost everything and tries to survive as the world becomes a huge waste land. The trailer did not provide the game's main objectives, but Sony might reveal it in next couple of months. As of now, there's no word yet on when Days Gone will be released.
For other Sony game, the latest trailer of Resident 7 shows the terrifying environment of the game. Set in dimly lit house, the trailer slowly reveals the grimy rooms in a photorealistic style powered by Capcom's new "RE Engine".
The Japanese game developer also said players can download a playable demo to further explore the game's eerie environment. The demo, which is titled Resident Evil 7: The Beginning Hour, is a free download for PS4 players with a PlayStation Plus subscription.
The launching of Resident Evil 7 is still many months away, and many industry experts believe Sony will release another demo to convince gamers that the new installment is worth playing for.
Resident Evil VII will hit PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR, and Xbox One on January 24, 2017.
