Do you happen to own one of those hard to find Nintendo Switch consoles? If you are one of the lucky few out there, perhaps you might want to take stock of what you and the Nintendo Switch is able to achieve. From enjoying mobile gaming while you are on the move to playing on the big screen back home in your (wo)man cave in a seamless manner, the Nintendo Switch is set to end up with an embarrassment of riches when it comes to casual games as well as having a handful of triple A titles thrown into the mix as well. One particular thing about Nintendo is their ability to sell you the same stuff over and over again across multiple platforms, and you still bite on the bait. The Switch eShop is one such example -- you can pick up retro titles and enjoy them with your 2017 console -- upon availability, that is. Alternatively, you can also download the latest titles without having to walk to the store to pick up a physical copy. If there is one continuous, nagging complaint from a handful of Switch users who have beef with the eShop, it would be this: the Nintendo Switch eShop fails miserably in basic user interface by not being able to store credit card information.

This is one particular feature that has long been available on many websites that cater for online transactions. It makes perfect sense -- especially when filling up the credit card details is not as simple as you would think. There is the 16 digit number for most credit cards (apart from American Express), in addition to the expiry date as well as the 3 digit security code. These are all information in which one should not be beholden to memorize, since there are other more important items to store in our brains. Hence, each purchase on the eShop would require a tedious action of taking out your credit card and filling up the relevant details, time and again. It is nice to see that after some maintenance, Nintendo has decided to make life a whole lot easier, especially for frequent users of the Switch eShop.

Making digital download purchases will never be the same again, since you are now able to select the option to save your credit card information. All of such information will be stashed away under your user profile when stored in the system menu. Not only that, as an added security measure, users will be able to enable or disable password entry when it comes to purchases after you have saved your credit card information. The reason behind that is obvious -- you would not want to receive a bill shock at the end of the month when your credit card bill arrives, simply because your little one has taken the liberty to perform purchases of games that look nice and colorful based on the screenshots alone.

The latest improvement of being able to save credit card information is definitely a welcome move, adding on to the previous month’s improvement of having a top selling games chart that will help make the Switch eShop a more conducive place to make digital purchases.
