The world of gaming is certainly a very rich one with a myriad of genres to choose from, and some of us are simply more drawn to RPG titles as it allows us to “escape” from the real world if but for a moment. In the world of RPGs, we are able to play a character whom we wish we were in real life -- perhaps a strong warrior who has a high constitution and is able to hack and slash his way through any situation no matter how perilous and difficult it is, or even a mage who has powerful spells at his or her disposal, ready to annihilate an opponent with a massive fireball at a simple invocation. Certain RPGs have a long history, and The Elder Scrolls is one of them. In fact, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was proven to be a huge hit back in the day, and the phrase “take an arrow to the knee” ended up in across countless memes. Well, it seems that rumors of the next instalment in the Elder Scrolls series have started to pick up steam yet again, where it will obviously be known as The Elder Scrolls 6. As for the rumored release date, our ears on the ground have picked up whispers of a 2019 launch, now how about that?
Neurogadget has also reported that the game might just take different route from its predecessors, where it will focus on a campaign that has everything to do with the Argonian race. If the word Argonian is as foreign to you as an Amalekite, fret not -- here is a quick primer. Argonians happen to be lizardfolk in the Elder Scrolls universe, and they are more often than not associated with the likes of thieves and marshes. Another rumor points to The Elder Scrolls 6 taking place in the home of the elves, which would be none other than Valenwood itself.
We would not discount the possibility that Bethesda is working on The Elder Scrolls 6 under the radar. After all, this is one title that has a horde of followers and fans all over the world, so perhaps lowering the amount of hype and speculation on what will be part of the game and what won’t be will reduce the amount of pressure on the programmers. We await with bated breath for a formal announcement to be made concerning The Elder Scrolls 6, and that normally happens anywhere from three months to half a year of the game’s impending release.
With 2019 being the rumored release date of The Elder Scrolls 6, chances are there is still a long, long time left to sit and wait. Perhaps one might opt to look elsewhere for a digital entertainment fix, and do so for the next two years plus? After all, the world might not even be there any more before Bethesda is done with The Elder Scrolls 6. With relatively a whole lot more time before its theoretical release, there should be no excuse for Bethesda to launch a gimped product.
