Season 8 cast member Carol Radziwill recently confessed that the "Real Housewives of New York City" reality television series is currently facing problems related to health and substance abuse. Specifically, she noted that these issues are directly affecting some of her co-stars.

The 52-year-old Radziwill made the revelations to Radar Online during the B Floral Event held in New York last week. According to the reality television star, one of her concerns is about Bethany Frankel's health.

As already shown in the premiere trailer for the series' eight season, Frankel is currently going through an undisclosed illness. Although the exact details of her illness has not yet been revealed, the video showed the 45-year-old star undergoing surgery.

It is not yet clear what type of sickness she has but according to Radziwill, it is very common among women. She also said that Frankel appeared very vulnerable as she underwent the medical operation.

But aside from Frankel, Radziwill is also concerned with the health condition of Jules Wainstein, who only joined the series this season. She is particularly worried about her weight and based on her appearance, she believes that the newcomer might have an eating disorder. Radziwill also noted that this is what Frankel thinks too.

"I didn't know this until we talked about it this year," she said. "Bethenny's mother had a very bad eating disorder, so she's very familiar with signs of that."

Apart from the health issues, Frankel thinks that alcohol problems might also affect the show in the future. She specifically noted that these issues might come from Dorinda Medley, Movie News Guide reported.

"Dorinda will say herself, after three martinis, you never know what's going to happen," she said.

Fans of the series are quite aware of what Frankel was talking about ever since season 7, when Medley joined the show. Aside from her antics, it can be observed that Medley can become a bit hostile towards her co-stars and is also easily agitated. Many viewers think that these could be the effects of her constant alcohol drinking.

The eight season of the "Real Housewives of New York City" kicked off earlier this month on April 6.
