Times Square New Year's Eve Ball Drop Celebration

With the end of 2013 coming in less than a couple hours, the traditional center of New Year's Eve celebration is taking place in Times Square, New York City. Hundreds of thousands of people crowd the neon-lighted billboard landmark to watch the ball drop, and millions more get to watch the celebration live on television and internet live streaming.

On television, the major television providers - ABC, NBC, CNN, and Fox- are each hosting the New Year's Eve countdown and celebration for the American general public.

ABC will feature the "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve," a show that started in 1972, that will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest this year.

NBC will host "New Year's Eve with Carson Daly," in which Mariah Carey and Black Shelton will headline the performances, and it can be watched live online. 

FOX TV will feature "New Year's Eve Live!" and Mario Lopez will host the event, featuring J Cole and Krewella and starting at 11 p.m. EST.

CNN will broadcast "New Year's Eve Live" with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin as the host of the show, starting at 9 p.m. EST.
