Almost immediately after Conor McGregor tweeted about his retirement last week, rumors about him leaving the UFC to join WWE began to emerge. Apparently, the fighter even helped fuel these rumors by getting close with some of the superstars of WWE.

Speculations about McGregor's WWE debut began on April 20 after the fighter started following through Twitter some of the biggest names in the WWE such as Triple H, Stephani McMahon and her brother Shane.

Becky Lynch, the Irish professional wrestler for the WWE also reacted to McGregor's alleged retirement by tweeting the hashtag #ComeJoinMeBro directed at the Notorious.

From the perspective of some fans, McGregor's actions on Twitter, which happened on the same day after he tweeted about his retirement, signify that he is ready to move on with another company.

But then again, the MMA fighter has already explained that he's not yet retired from the UFC. He also explained that he only tweeted about retiring because he does not agree with UFC's terms about promoting pay-per-view fights.

Unfortunately for McGregor, the UFC, particularly president Dana White, did not appreciate his actions and has decided to take him out of the UFC 200 fight card. This means that he will not be able to face off against Nate Diaz for a second time, which could serve as an opportunity for him to avenge his loss at UFC 196.

So far, the UFC has maintained its decision to keep McGregor out of UFC 200. However, earlier this week, he announced through his Twitter page that he's back on the pay-per-view event's fight card. He even thanked White and promoter Lorenzo Fertitta for allegedly making the fight happen.

But, for now, McGregor seems to be the only one saying that he's back in UFC 200. The promotional company nor its executives have not yet issued official statements regarding his alleged return. This means that McGregor's recent tweet should only be taken with a grain of salt because there's still a big chance that he will not be fighting Diaz that night.

As for the UFC 200, the event is set to take place at July 9 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
