Naughty Dog releases new expansion pack for Uncharted 4 Naughty Dog

Game developer Naughty Dog released the first major update and first downloadable content of Uncharted 4 on June 29. The game's new contents include new guns, maps, skins and more. However, during a live stream event, the game developer said the details about Uncharted 4's single-player campaign may be announced soon.

The game's expansion pack is called Lost Treasures. It introduces the new map called Sunken Ruins, which looks familiar to the Uncharted 4's campaign. Game developers say it is one of the smaller and faster maps in the game.

Furthermore, there are new pirate skins for Nate, Flynn, Eddie, Elena and Sully. Naughty Dog says in a blog post that some of the new features came from community requests. Interestingly, the developer teases fans that there will be an extra bonus item which is not yet available.

Alongside with Lost Treasures DLC, Naughty Dog releases the 1.08 patch. The update brings massive tweaks in terms of gameplay and weapon balance. The developers will post the full patch notes on the Uncharted 4 website tomorrow.

As for the game's single-player DLC, the developer said its production is still in the preliminary stages. So, the studio and its creators don't have many materials that can be released to gamers and press outlets. The developer also expressed "it will be a while" before Uncharted 4's single-player DLC becomes available, as per reports from Game Rant.

Last year, the studio's director of communications Arne Meyer said the single-player DLC of Uncharted 4 was inspired by the commercial success of The Last of Us DLC called Left Behind. The Left Behind DLC gave fans thrilling and action-packed gaming experience. So, game developers aim to deliver that quality for the first single-player DLC of Uncharted 4.

Naughty Dog stated it would not hesitate to release any information about Uncharted 4's single-player DLC once it is finished. For now, gamers have to stay tuned for more info.

In related news, Naughty Dog is set to conduct a Twitch stream on June 30, 11:30 a.m. PT. The developer is expected to discuss the changes in ranked team deathmatch and some post-patch issues.

Since its release is May 2016, Uncharted 4 has been receiving overwhelming support from fans. VentureBeat reported the game earned more than US$56 million from microtransactions alone. The achievement is considered as Sony's biggest digital success last year.
