Who will be in the next Mortal Kombat X DLC? Ed Boon/Twitter/Vine Report

Mortal Kombat is one gaming franchise that will live on to the next generation of video game consoles.  The release of Mortal Kombat X (MKX) gave fans something to fight about, and there has been a lot of downloadable content (DLC) that players can purchase to make the Kombat experience even better.  What could be the next Mortal Kombat X DLC, or Kombat Pack 2, probably won't be officially revealed until 2016.  This is what we know about the Release Date, Cast, and even more Characters updated.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, there was some updates released to the PlayStation 4 just recently, and these will be coming soon to the Xbox One and PC.  These updates included specific character fixes, but it ended with an expectation of new DLC in 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game.  According to Vine Report, Ed Boon, the man behind the Mortal Kombat franchise, has released an image on Twitter with four silhouettes, and printed at the bottom is "Who's Next".

Based on what can be seen, there is a lot of speculation.  Some have said that one of the silhouettes is Baraka, Smoke, or Noob Saibot.  That would be for the bald one or possibly wearing headgear like a ninja.  Baraka appears as an A.I. opponent in the game story campaign, but Smoke has a similar build as well.  This goes the same for Noob.

The second character appears to be Rain, Sindel, or Fujin. Like Baraka, both Rain and Kitana's mother Sindel have appeared as A.I. character in the game.  Fujin can also be see in the game's cinematics, so it seems like false advertising not to have him, right?

As for that third character, it looks like he or she is sporting some kind of helmet and chest orb.  This would suggest Sektor and Cyrax, unless they have been completely eliminated.  The last character, it could be a drunken fist master Bo Rai Cho, mostly likely.

So who could be in the Kombat Pack 2?  There are plenty of suggestions as Mortal Kombat has a history that spans at least ten games (hence the "X", the Roman numeral for ten, in the game's title), and not all of those characters are used on Mortal Kombat X.

There was a report from Comic Book that Todd McFarlane gave NetherRealm his "blessing" to include the popular comic book character Spawn in Mortal Kombat X.  Considering that Spawn exists outside the realm of the Mortal Kombat universe, what other characters could enter in?

Are characters like Shredder and Casey Jones from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles outside the realm of possibility?  I'm sure that was said about Freddy Krueger, Jason Vorhees, and Predator, but they are playable in Mortal Kombat.  What about the Xenomorph from the Alien movie franchise?  Seriously, the possibilities are as endless as the intellectual property owners are willing to give.  We probably aren't going to find out until at least early 2016.
