GTA 5 Update To Skip Old-Gen Consoles With Lowrider DLC

GTA Lowriders
GTA V: Lowriders 2 will become available in the first quarter of year Rockstar Games

Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V has certainly made record-breaking numbers in its sales, and recent downloadable content (DLC), as created a huge following for the open world game.  Unfortunately, it looks like any ties with old-gen consoles like the Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 are coming to a close, but there is a lot in store for the next DLC known as Lowriders.

There are millions who are interested in any new GTA V DLC, and there will be a patch coming on October 20th.  However, according to CNET, this GTA V online patch known as "Lowriders" will only be coming to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.  For those who are playing GTA V on PS3 and Xbox 360, you will not be able to access it.

It is not a surprise that Rockstar Games is focusing their efforts on next generation consoles.  This should not come as any surprise, as the company has warned users this was going to happen, according to Gamespot.  This happened when the Rockstar Editor came out

GTA V, one of the biggest video games of all time, came out in an awkward time.  It was first released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013, and it was well-known that these systems were going to be upgraded soon.  Fans still bought up the game in droves, and then, when the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were released the following year, so was another version of GTA V.  It is pretty clear that old-gen consoles are going to have to upgrade and purchase GTA V once again to get with the new "Lowrider" DLC.

So what can GTA V players expect for GTA Online: "Lowriders"?  Those that love cars and want to customize their ride are sure to get a kick out of it.  The DLC introduces Benny's Original Motor Works, which allows for a lot of lowrider customizations as the title suggests, tricking out vehicles so the player can cruise around Los Santos with pride.

According to the Rockstar website, it is possible to choose a half-dozen select customizable vehicles via in-game phone.  Then it is possible to bring the player's designs to Benny's for decorating the engine block, the car interior, not to mention some new steering wheel and custom shift levers.  There will also be hydraulics, so the car will be bouncing, as well as some stereo speakers to go along for the ride.

The DLC also involves a social level as well as you can meet up with friends and car enthusiasts to show off the new rides.  There will also be some calls and texts from Lamar, who will bring some new missions and will require the player's help.

Expect GTA Online: Lowriders to be arriving for PS4, Xbox One , and PC on Tuesday, October 20th.   All other DLCs will be just for those platforms from now on.
