HTC One M10 Release Date, Specs and Rumors: A Complete Redesign

In March of last year, HTC unveiled the follow-up to the HTC One M8 with the One M9, a phone that I personally use and would recommend. Considering that the HTC One M9 was unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, an annual event that takes place in Barcelona, Spain, it is a safe bet that MWC 2016 will see the unveiling of the HTC One M10.  This is what is known about the HTC One M10 with its Release Date, Specs, and Rumors.   

According to Gotta Be Mobile, there isn't a lot of word on what the HTC One M10 will be like.   Considering that the Samsung S7 and the LG G5 will probably be unveiled at MWC 2016, perhaps HTC will wait until press on those 2016 new phones will die down before HTC unveils their new flagship for the year. 

It is hard to believe that last year, by this time, practically everything about the M9 had already been leaked.  The HTC One M9 was not considered a successful phone, but as I mentioned before, it is the one that I have, and I can attest that it is a good phone.  Some consider the HTC One M9 a complete flop, which puts a lot of pressure for HTC to improve the HTC One M10 with more than just a faster processor and better cameras.

HTC has been releasing some phones with Android 6.0 right out of the box with the A9 and the X9, and it is possible that they are rebranding their flagships into something else entirely.  So perhaps this could be the HTC One M10, or the A10, or even the HTC Two. 

Reports are saying that whatever this phone is called could have a complete redesign, but it would be hard for HTC to keep that secret.  So the specs are pretty much anyone's guess.  Perhaps it will keep the same 5-inch display that it has, or perhaps go to bigger.  The camera will probably be improved, but it already has a 20 Megapixel camera, which is pretty good, but it could go higher to 23 Megapixels.  There are rumors of a fingerprint scanner, but that is starting to become a standard feature for any smartphone.  Perhaps it will have an 8-core Snapdragon 820 processor with 3-4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.  Perhaps it will have a bigger battery, as most users want that, but it needs to have those forward facing speakers.  

So at this point, who knows?  We probably have some idea of the HTC One M10 (let's just assume that HTC will call it that) release date.  When the HTC One M9 was announced at MWC 2015, it didn't hit United States carriers until April 10th (the same day as the Samsung Galaxy S6), so the HTC One M10 probably won't hit the stores and subscribers until about that time this year.
