Samsung's most premium handset is coming. The South Korean tech company confirmed the release date of new Galaxy S7. Now, here is the round up of the latest news about Samsung Galaxy S7 release date, specs, price and features.

Samsung is set to launch the new Galaxy S7 smartphone on Feb. 21 -- one day before the Barcelona's Mobile World Conference begins, where it was previously reported the phone would be released.

The Week published that Samsung Galaxy S7 has bigger size and more updated design than the outgoing S6. The Galaxy S7 is larger, measuring at about 5.5 inches. Moreover, its edges on front and back are more rounded that its previous version.

The upcoming device is also rumored to come with a pressure-sensitive 3D touch capability. Not only that, it will be shopped with two variants of processors: the Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890, depending on the buyer's region. These processors are coupled with 4 GB of RAM. There's also microSD-card in the device to expand its storage capacity for up to 200GB.

For more protection, Samsung added IP67-rated dust and water resistance in the Galaxy S7. Moreover, it has "liquid-cooling" features to prevent overheating due to its higher-spec internal hardware.

Buyers can also enjoy the smooth system of Android Marshmallow. It is reported that Samsung S7 has Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.

Interestingly, Samsung downgraded the camera features of the device. Its camera technology decreased in terms of megapixels, but it has several key additions for greater image recording.  From 16 megapixels, the upcoming S7 smartphone will have 12 megapixels. However, it will boast brand new super-fast aperture for action shots and low-light shooting.

The Galaxy series has been a hallmark in terms of display quality. TechRadar published that the new flasgship device is rumored  to have 4k screen for ultra-clear display.

As for the price of the Samsung Galaxy S7, Daily Mail reported that the new device could be up to 10 per cent cheaper than its predecessor in a bid to attract iPhone users. The Galaxy S6 is priced around £599 went it was launched.

With that information, it looks like Samsung has combined the practicality of the Galaxy S5 with the style and build quality of the Galaxy S6 to please their subscribers. The Galaxy S7 might be the company's best shot to regain their place as the best phone manufacturer in the world, according to Forbes.
