Before we give our Academy Awards Best Actor Award prediction, let's check out the nominees.

  •  Leonardo DiCaprio, The Revenant
  •  Bryan Cranston, Trumbo
  •  Matt Damon, The Martian
  •  Michael Fassbender, Steve Jobs
  •  Eddie Redmayne, The Danish Girl

Despite DiCaprio's primal and mesmerizing lead role in The Revenant, there are other worthy candidates as best actor.

Eddie Redmayne's performance in The Danish Girl is equally proficient and exciting to watch. In addition, Matt Damon's role as the most likable astronaut ever made is arguably career-best level work. However, fans and Academy members saw the Dicaprio's proficient acting career throughout the years.

Now, DiCaprio at 41 years old has awakened his inner actor and tamed his juvenile angst and nervous energy in two significant films of his career. In 1993, he was in Robert De Niro's This Boy's Life and Lasse Hallstrom's What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

Since then, DiCaprio's roles were leading characters: The Aviator (2004), Inception (2010) The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), Great Gastby (2013), The Revenant (2015) and many more. When he goes up on stage on Sunday night, he is carrying his career with him.
