iOS 9.1, 9.2, 9.2.1, and 9.3 Jailbreak Release Date; Now that 9.2 and 9.2.1 is Out of The Way, is 9.3 on The Way?

For those that are not familiar with the process of jailbreaking, it is negating the manufacter's predetermined settings of the smartphone or tablet to gain more control over a device.  This the case of Apple, it is a way to remove Apple's restriction, so iPhone and iPad users can enjoy access to the iOS file system and manager for downloading applications not available on the App Store.  It should not be tried unless you have the technical know-how, and here is the latest news on jailbreaking iOS 9.2, 9.2, 9.2.1, and 9.3. 

According to the Day Herald, the jailbreak for iOS 9.2.1 was recently released by the TaiG group and it has "been receiving several commendations from Apple users".  Another organization known for its jailbreaks, Pangu declares that it released a jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2 on March 11.  

When it comes to jailbreaking reports, they often contrast each other, and this report is different from a report that we made at the Gospel Herald on jailbreaking last week.  Assuming that iOS 9.2 and iOS 9.2.1 have been jailbroken, this will lead to potential jailbreaking users not upgrading to the latest version of iOS 9.3. 

In the meantime, there is a lot of wondering about when the jailbreaking tool for iOS 9.3 will come out.  There is already a new video released by a YouTube user known as iCrackUriDevice saying that the jailbreaking solution for iOS 9.3 is coming soon.  Then there is the reports from Italian developer Luca Tedesco who has proven that the jailbreak for iOS 9.3 is possible, but also announced that he won't make that jailbreak public. 

The issue with jailbreaking a new version of iOS is that Apple probably has a department that is designed to stay one step ahead of it.  Now that iOS versions 9.0, 9.1, and 9.2 are available for jailbreak, you had better believe that Apple has studied the vulnerabilities of their latest with iOS 9.3. 

In fact, Ecumenical News reports that the jailbreaking for iOS 9.3 won't be happening "anytime soon".  The new iOS 9.3, which was just made available last week at Apple's "Let Us Loop You In" event last Monday, has some bug fixes and patches, making it difficult to jailbreak. 

Forbes states that iOS 9.3 is "the biggest shakeup to iOS since iOS 9 itself launched".  Considering that iOS 9.0 was jailbroken, perhaps it is just a matter of time, either short or long, before iOS 9.3 gets its turn for jailbreaking.  Some of have said that iOS 9.3 could be "the one" that won't be jailbroken, permanently ending this jailbreaking for iOS users.  Others say that iOS 9.3 won't be jailbroken until iOS 10 comes out, and we will just have to wait and see on that.
