MTV Movie Awards 2016 Live Streaming, Nominees, TV Schedule: Watch Online Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart Host, Presenters and Performance Lineup

This year at the MTV Movie Awards for 2016 will be quite memorable as it is the 25th anniversary. Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart will be the hosts of the event, and this is everything that is known so far about the Awards, Nominees, Presenters, and the Performance lineup. 

To prepare for their hosting duties, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, who will be starring together in the upcoming film Central Intelligence, challenged viewers to write and submit scripts via social media.  Billboard shows the duo acting them out, and these live streams have been viewed by 4 million viewers. 

Speaking of presentations, there will be many presenters at the MTV Movie Awards for 2016 such as Olivia Munn, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Jessica Chastain, and supermodel Gigi Handid. 

As far as performers go, one of the most talked about will be from Ariana Grande, who will make her MTV Movie Awards debut with the title track from her upcoming studio album of "Dangerous Woman".  There will also be a debut from Halsey from "Badlands", performing another live debut, and this one is called "Castle" form the upcoming universal film The Huntsman: Winter's War

Another bonus for tonight will be an exclusive world premiere clip from Captain America: Civil War, and it will be delivered by Captain America himself, Chris Evans.  There will also be a new look at the upcoming Suicide Squad movie and Eddie Redmayne will premiere new footage from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

There is another bonus as receiving the Generation Award will be Will Smith, and this will acknowledge is body of work for the past quarter-century.  Melissa McCarthy will receive the comedic genius award, and she will be the first woman to receive it.  A complete list of the nominees is listed at Al.com, and it features Star Wars: The Force Awakens with 11 nominations and Deadpool at 8 nominations. 

For those who are unaware, the MTV awards are slightly different than those of the Golden Globes and the Oscars.  For example, categories for this year include Best True Story, Best Kiss, and Best Fight, as well as the Best Performance by a Man or Woman.  The nominees for best picture include Avengers: Age of Ultron, Creed, Deadpool, Jurassic World, Straight Outta Compton, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens
