The 2016 CT6 features plenty of firsts for Cadillac. Experience top-class smart technology in the cabin, and drive comfortably through its quad-zone climate control. The car also boasts a brand-new twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6. Now, here's what we know so far about 2016 CT6's release date, features and price.

Detroit Free Press said the CT6 competes with large high-end luxury sedans like the Audi A8, Jaguar XJ, BMW 7-series, Mercedes S-class and Lexus LS. In terms of wheelbase, length and passenger space, the latest car from Cadillac is a bit bigger that its competitors.

"Combining full-size comfort with midsize agility is a best-of-both-worlds ," a reviewer from Cars.com said.

General Motors released the 2016 Cadillac CT6 last year. "We've been looking for Cadillac to step up its game again, and back up the claim that it's the standard of the world," said George Peterson, head of AutoPacific, an automotive research organization.

CT6 offers 265-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which is also present in the smaller ATS and CTS Cadillac. For those who want more engine power, the top model has 404-hp engine with twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Furthermore, CT6 is extraordinarily light, thanks to innovative structural engineering of General Motors.  Most of the car's structural parts are made from aluminum, but the passenger compartment is protected with high-strength steel.

The interior of the car has noise-cancelling feature.  It minimizes sound and vibrations from the outside for smoother driving experience. The combination of steel and aluminum frame gives CT6 an amazingly quiet interior. In addition, the car feels like a large sedan inside. The second row is very spacious.

One of the most important features of the CT6 is its connectivity, according to Autoweek. There's connectivity practically everywhere -- even in the rear mirror, which has a video screen connected to a rear-facing camera.  Its infotainment system is also comfortable to use. Drivers can easily control it via a touchpad positioned next to the gear lever. Also, the climate control features physical buttons for easier temperature adjustments.

For luxury amenities of CT6, it offers massaging heated and cooled front seats, adaptive cruise control, a big, dual-pane sun roof, dual backseat video screens, navigation system and a Wi-Fi hot spot.

The price of 2016 Cadillac CT6 starts at $53,495 for 2.0L version, $55,495 for 3.6L and $64,395 with the 3.0L bi-turbo.
