The NBA has issued penalties on Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey and Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Dahntay Jones following las weekend's games. According to reports, Casey was fined after criticizing the calls made by officials while Jones was suspended for hitting Bismack Biyombo of the Toronto Raptors.

The incident involving Jones happened a day after the Raptors won Game 3 against the Cavaliers. Despite the win, the coach was not happy with how the officials handled the game. He pointed out that during the match, the Raptors had 73 personal fouls while the Cavs only had 46.

"How you can miss out fouls like that and calls like that? I can't see it," he told reporters on Sunday according to USA Today. "I've been in this league a long time, in college basketball a long time, but again, there's got to be consistency. The same foul on one end has got to be the same foul on the other."

Because of his comments, Casey was slapped with a $25,000 fine for, according to the league, "public criticism of officiating."

As for Jones, the shooting guard received a 1-game suspension without pay after hitting Biyombo in the groin with his right hand. This happened at the 17.6 seconds mark of the fourth quarter of Game 3. Based on the replays, Jones was guarding Biyomob under the basket as the latter attempted to get the rebound. Biyombo was able to tap the ball towards the direction of a teammate but was then hit by Jones as he turned.

The incident left the Cavaliers center squatting in pain on the court.

"I got hit in an area that I wasn't supposed to get hit on or a private area, so to speak," he said after the game according to ESPN. "Whenever the league has a chance, they probably want to take a look at that. That's all I can say on that one."

Jones' suspension means he will not be able to join the rest of the Raptors in Game 4, which could have a significant effect on the overall productivity of the team.
