Chris Bosch and the Miami Heat have finally reached an agreement regarding the power forward's current status in the NBA. As stated in an official press release, Bosch will not be joining the team for the rest of the playoffs due to his serious medical condition.

The complications in Bosch's health first emerged after playing in the 2015 All-Star Game. During the All-Star break, he was brought to Miami hospital for lung tests. Then, in February of that year, doctors said he had a blood clot in one of his lungs, forcing him to sit out the remainder of the season.

He then made a comeback on October of last year and played in the opening game against Charlotte Hornets. But, months later, another blood clot was discovered on his leg which then prompted Heat officials to rethink his status on the roster.

Bosch has been taking blood thinners to treat the condition. However, despite being a treatment method, this could also affect Bosch's overall health if he gets cut or injured while playing basketball.

Because of this, Bosch has been asked to refrain from playing to avoid complicating his condition. But, the athlete and his wife Adrienne Bosch remained adamant about his return on the court. She even launched a Twitter campaign with the hashtag #BringBoschBack to gather support from fans.

However, earlier this week, the Heat released an official statement regarding Bosch. Based on the announcement, it seems all parties involved were able to come to an understanding in making the decision.

"The Miami Heat and Chris Bosch announce that Chris will not be playing in the remainder of the 2016 NBA Playoffs," the team tweeted. "The Heat, Chris, the doctors and medical team have been working together throughout this process and will continue to do so to return Chris to playing basketball as soon as possible."

It is not yet clear when Heat fans can expect to see the player on the court with the team. However, it could take a while before he can return since doctors still have to make sure that his recurring medical condition will not return in the future.
