The 2016 NFL Draft is not yet scheduled to commence for another month, but new reports are already suggesting which players teams will go for. One of those is about the Philadelphia Eagles' picking quarterback Jared Goff.

The team, however, has not yet officially announced what it plans to do in the upcoming draft event. But, as indicated in several mock drafts, the Philadelphia franchise could end up snatching Goff from the California Golden Bears.

As noted by Inquistr, now that Chip Kelly is officially coaching the San Francisco 49ers, the Eagles now has the freedom to get players on its roster. And, since the team has recently re-signed Chase Daniel and Sam Bradford as backups, it seems the Eagles is ready to move forward by acquiring a starting quarterback.

Recently, analyst Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Media laid out a mock draft with Goff as the no. 8 pick. He cited that Goff is like a hybrid of Carson Wentz and Teddy Bridgewater regarding toughness, accuracy and overall performance on the field.

Big Blue View, which also conducted a mock draft, went even further by predicting that Goff will fall in line with the Eagles' roster, this is despite the team's new head coach Doug Pederson maintaining Bradford will be the Philadelphia's starting QB.

According to Alex Sinclair of Big Blue View, Goff is more consistent that Bradford and will mend well with Pederson's coaching style.

"Pederson has been adamant that Sam Bradford ca be the team's starter next year," he wrote. "I'm not buying it. Aside from being as hot-and-cold as a flaming Baked Alaska, Bradford just hasn't been healthy. You can twist it any way you like, but Bradford is an injury-prone player that cannot be relied upon."

"Enter Jared Goff," he added. "Pederson was the offensive coordinator in Kansas City and did wondrous things with Alex Smith. Goff is of the same mold, and I have zero doubt about this being the correct choice for the future of the franchise under Pederson."

Of course, these are only based on speculations which mean the Eagles could still go in a different direction and draft another quarterback. One of the athletes that the team is reportedly targeting is Paxton Lynch of the Memphis Tigers.
