2016 Ninth CCCOWE World Conference to be Held in Taiwan

By Luke Leung

The ninth world Chinese Coordination Center of World Evangelism (CCCOWE) conference will be held in Taiwan in 2016, announced the Chinese evangelical body’s board of directors.

Rev. James Hsia, newly elected chairman of CCCOWE Taiwan region, shared with Taiwan church media after the decision was made during the board meeting held on September 14th.

Hsia said that in recent years the churches in Taiwan have grown tremendously and they have great external relations with churches from abroad, many of whose leaders have come to the country to hold special conferences; however, their overall interactions with the overseas Chinese churches are comparatively lacking.

While CCCOWE has excellent track performances in propagating the world or cross-cultural missions, Hsia pointed out that this area is the weakest point of Taiwan’s churches.

Hsia, the executive director of Chinese Christian Evangelical Association, a church network ministry that connects the churches throughout Taiwan, hopes that Taiwan’s churches can serve in unity and with open hearts and to learn and expand their world perspectives during the next CCCOWE conference.

Dr. Chi-Ping Lin, vice chairman of CCCOWE Taiwan and executive director of Cosmic Light ministry, said that Taiwan’s churches are really blessed, so once it receives the decision to host the next CCCOWE conference, then they can use this as an opportunity to give back through their resource to the Chinese churches in the world and at the same time see the needs of the entire world missions.
