How are you celebrating your Fourth of July this year? Some of us might be looking forward to the customary cook-out in the backyard later this evening, while others might want to simply spend the day in bed with their favorite (e)book in hand. Well, regardless of how much adrenaline you would like to have coursed through your veins with the celebratory activity of your choice, you might want to consider looking out for great deals that will carve a smile on your face. Right now, Google is offering one of the more exciting and ingenious promotions for Google Play Music to date. Basically, new users are able to sign up for a free four-month trial.

This would mean one will be able to enjoy just about everything that is made available on the Play Music store, not to mention being able to enjoy a YouTube Red subscription as well. Whoever said that there is no such thing as a free lunch in this world, right?

There is one caveat, however, and it would be this. Such an unbelievable promotion is made available only for consumers who are based in the US, and you will need to be completely new to Google Play as well as YouTube Red. I am quite sure that those who have already signed up for one or even two not too long ago would mull over the potential 4-month savings, but that's how life works -- we roll with the punches.

It remains to be seen as to how long this promotion will be made available to the masses over in the US, but one thing is for sure: it has been specially marketed in such a way alongside the 4th of July holiday weekend, so who knows whether this promotion will be extended beyond Monday. In other words, it would be best to pay attention to the ancient proverb where the early bird catches the worm, so do not miss this proverbial train!

Just how much can one save with a 4-month free trial? Well, YouTube Red would already set you back by $9.99 each month, being a month subscription service that allows users to watch YouTube videos without any irritating advertisements making a nuisance of themselves. Not only that, YouTube Red opens up the door for users to download content so that they can view said content at a later time.

YouTube Red has been cited to be a competitor to the likes of Amazon and Netflix, not to mention having drawn up plans to introduce its own range of original content.

Basically, whoever signs up today and is qualified will not be slapped with any kind of charges -- not at least until this coming November, of course. You might want to check out all of the action over on the Google Play Music homepage. Once the trial is over, it is very conceivable that one will be able to take the plunge and go ahead with the family plan, which should come in handy if there are several people living under the same roof.
