According to Nike.com, the company celebrates Black History Month (BHM) with a collection of products across basketball, football, running, soccer, and skateboarding and honors six athletes and coaches who have positively impacted sport with their courage and determination. These six athletes are Theotis Beasley, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Jerry Rice, Brianna Rollins, C. Vivian Stringer and John Thompson. Also thrown in the mix are other athletes including Michael Jordan, and there will be three BHM sneakers devoted to him, including the Air Jordan XX9, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, and the Air Jordan 1 Mid.

The Latino Post reports the details of the Air Jordan brand's three different sneakers. The first is the Air Jordan XX9 in White/Black colorway, and it will have white laces with the black Jumpman logo (the silhouette of Michael Jordan doing his trademark slam dunk) on the heel area, the BHM logo on the tongue, finishing it off with a black midsole and translucent blue outside.

The next shoe is the first-ever Air Jordan shoe with the BHM theme, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "BHM" edition. This shoe will feature a black leather upper part, with an all black Jumpman and Air Jordan wings logo. It has a white midsole and black outsole, with a white-based patter on the toe area, sock lining and tongue, and the BHM logo.

The third shoe is the Air Jordan 1 Mid BHM, and it is available with the BHM color pattern of white with black. Sneaker News reports that there will be a special edition of the Air Jordan 1 Mid this year with the classic "Hare Jordan" Bugs Bunny logo on the tongue, and with red and white colors.

There is also a women's edition of the Retro, the Girls Air Jordan 1 Retro High BHM. It has a white-based upper part with a unique BHM pattern as well as the black Nike swoosh logo with tongue.

All of these shoes will be available this Saturday, January 17, at 10 AM EST on Nike.com and Nike retailers worldwide. The Air Jordan XX9 BHM is expected to be $225 per pair, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG BHM will be for $130 per pair, and the Air Jordan 1 Mid BHM will be for $120 per pair, the same price as the Girls Air Jordan 1 Retro High BHM.

Other non-Jordan related BHM products from Nike include the Kobe 9 Elite BHM ($250), the Kyrie 1 BHM ($130), the LeBron 12 BHM ($220), the LeBron 12 BHM GS ($165), the KD7 BHM ($170), the KD7 BHM GS ($120), and much more on the Nike BHM Collection website.

Nike has stated that "a portion of proceeds from the sale of the 2015 BHM Collection go to the Ever Higher Fund, which supports organizations that leverage the power of sport to maximize the potential of underserved youth. The fund's mission is to assist communities with knowledge, resources and tools for the next generation of leaders."
