Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., has said she "shudders" to think of what happened to the bodies of her deceased babies in light of the recent videos showing Planned Parenthood executives discussing the harvesting and sale of fetal body parts and said her uncle would have been "disturbed" by the actions of the leading abortion group.

"As a post abortive mother, I wonder what happened to the bodies of three of my babies. My two abortions and a subsequent miscarriage in the 1970s, all due to wrong thinking and misinformation from Planned Parenthood and the anti-life industry at large are all part of a dark season of my life," she writes in a recent op-ed.

As previously reported by the Gospel Herald, two separate sting operations by the Center for Medical Progress captured Planned Parenthood executives casually discussing the sale of fetal organs and haggling over how much money Planned Parenthood receives for this.

Video footage of the sting operations quickly went viral and was widely condemned by political and religious leaders who called for the defunding of the leading abortion group, which receives about $500 million in taxpayer funding each year, according to government records.

In turn, Planned Parenthood has claimed it was a victim of "deceptive editing" and argued that conservative leaders are "seizing on these accusations as an excuse to push the same dangerous agenda - ban abortion, shut down health centers and cut women off from care."

King, who is a former Ga. State Representative, says she "shudders" to think of what happened to her three babies in light of these revelations:

She writes, "I remember the hours in the abortion facilities; the pain, the stress and duress of procedures that left my womb empty and my heart broken; having papers pushed before me for signature with minimal if any explanation. Like many women, I was there with conflicting thoughts and feelings. All that time not knowing that my babies would share in my pain."

King continues, "The issue of abortion is being danced around by media as this body part debacle unfolds. As all unravels, we will discover that there are heinous tentacles from a Three Headed Monster that are at the core of the assault on humanity.

"It won't be the media who helps heal the hearts and wombs of women. It will be prayer," she contends, "Let us pray for strength as truth crushed to earth rises again."

In a separate interview with the Daily Signal, King said Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would have been "disturbed" by the Planned Parenthood videos.

"Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., my uncle, my father, his brother, Rev. Alfred Daniel Williams King, my granddaddy, Daddy King, who helped my mother not to abort me, and helped me not to abort one of my babies, they would all be very disturbed and very prayerful about the videos that are out now with officials of Planned Parenthood negotiating and talking about the sale or harvesting of body parts," she said.

"[Dr. King] often said that the negro cannot win if he's willing to sacrifice the futures of his children for immediate personal comfort and safety," said King, who is a civil rights leader herself. "Therefore we should never vote for a candidate who does not value human life from conception or fertilization until natural death."

King also recently penned a scathing open letter directed at the Congressional Black Caucus, expressing her dismay "over the deafening silence coming from you" in response to the controversial videos.

"If they or anyone else had been exposed for harvesting and selling animal body parts," she reasoned, "there would be such an outrage from the left and right."

King noted that, through the National Black Prolife Coalition, the CBC has been asked previously to respond to the disproportionately high number of black children killed by abortion--without a response.

"But yet we hear nothing," she charged. "Your silence is deafening."
