Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Release Date for HTC One M9, M8 on Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile and US Cellular

HTC is among the first phone makers that rolled out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow (Android M) on their devices. Recently, The Taiwanese phone manufacturer announced that One M9 user under the  T-Mobile and Verizon networks are getting their Android M upgrade on Feb. 16.

Now's here's the latest round-up of news about  Android 6.0 Marshmallow release date on HTC One M9, M8 and M10.

One M9 owners that are subscribed to T-mobile and Verizon are set to get their new firmware. HTC's product manager Mo Versi via Twitter confirmed the upgrade. On Feb 16, owners of the said device will finally experience the smooth and cool features of Android M.

AT&T subscribers that have HTC One M9 device was supposed to get their Android Marshmallow earlier, but the mobile company reportedly encountered some technical issues, according to Tech Times. The company decided to delay the update to improve its features.

Sprint is also pushing Android M to their One M9. The update may take some time, but the company is releasing it now through an over-the-air update to firmware version 3.41.651.3, as per reports from Android Police.

For One M9 owners from Canada, telecommunications companies Sasktel, Rogers, Videotron and Wind Mobile rolled out Android M to their subscribers.

It is interesting to note that the older One M8 smartphone got the Android M update first before One M9. Last month, HTC released the firmware to the device in the UK and Hong Kong.

Because of these developments, tech experts believed that the Android M update will roll out soon to other gadgets elsewhere in the world.

The release of the software is gradual, so some users will have to wait for a few days or weeks before they receive notification. It is also recommended for users to check their devices if it is already available for update, just go to Settings> About Phone> System Update.

On other hand, it is reported that the upcoming HTC One M10 will have Android 6.0 Marhsmallow right out of the box. A separate report from Tech Times preditecd the device will become available this March. Moreover, it is expected to sport Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset, a 23-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 3,000 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the latest firmware from Google. Many online reviews praised the system's innovative apps, improved security system and smooth user interface. PC Advisor said it has new features and tweaks that are very welcome including Doze Mode and vastly improved app permissions.
