At this point, most of the newer Android phones have been receiving their upgrade to Version 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow). Most of the current flagships for HTC, Samsung, and LG have Motorola has been promising its users that it will get Android M to them, and it has been keeping that promise to a certain degree. This is the latest news about Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for Motorola Moto X, G, E Series for US Cellular, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile.
In fact, it was early as November 12 of last year that reports stated that Motorola rolled out the Marshmallow upgrade to the Moto X Style and Moto X (2014), according to Know Your Mobile. It was an over-the-air (OTA) function with no way to do it manually, and it would start out in Brazil and India before it came to other countries.
Then, on December 14, there were reports that the Marshmallow update was showing up in Motorola Moto X Style handsets, like those of UK users. A few days later, the Moto X 2014 started to receive the Android 6.0 update.
As for this year, a report on January 20 stated that Motorola has begun rolling out Android Marshmallow to the second generation Moto G handset.

- 2015 Moto X Play

- 2014 Moto X in Latin America, Europe and Asia2 (2nd gen)
- 2014 Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE2 (2nd gen)
- DROID Turbo
- 2014 Moto MAXX
- 2014 Moto Turbo
- 2015 Moto E
It should be noted that the Moto E budget handset will be receiving the Android upgrade only to a limited degree. In spite of promises that the Moto E would have the most current version of Android a few years after its release, the 2015 Moto E will only update in certain regions such as Canada, Latin America, Europe, and most of Asia. China and the United States won't be getting it.
A recent report from Android Central has revealed that the update for the Droid Turbo 2 is pushing out. This word comes from David Schuster on Google+, who states that it is available on Verizon. Those that own the Turbo 2 should check their phone settings and see if it is available as an OTA update.
In fact, all Motorola users should periodically check their devices to see whether or not an OTA Marshmallow upgrade is available. Keep in mind that the Android upgrade often comes to some U.S. Carriers (US Cellular, Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile) sooner than later. For example, the upgrade has come to the Turbo 2 for Verizon, which means it should be coming to the other four remaining carriers soon.
