When Google released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow (Android M) on their Nexus devices, it tends to roll out slowly to their other devices. Samsung devices have also experienced the same process. Now, here's the latest news about Android M roll out on Samsung devices for Verizon, US Cellular, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint.

Samsung 2015 flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6, received the beta Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade. However, the latest OS is limited to users in the UK and South Korea. Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge users in the United States might receive the update sometime this year, according to Tech Times.

Furthermore, Pocket-Lint published that Android 6.0 is set to land on the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ -- the latest gadgets from South-Korean Tech Company.

The same source also said older Note models-- Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note Edge-- will have the latest OS in February 2016. Also, the second phase of rollout includes Samsung Galaxy A, Samsung Galaxy A7, Samsung Galaxy A5, Samsung Galaxy A3, Samsung Galaxy E7 and Samsung Galaxy E5.

Tech experts said Android M update will greatly vary depending on subscriber's individual carrier. This means that some Samsung devices could receive the new updates but some devices on a different carrier would not.  T-mobile said their devices, such as Galaxy Note 4, are included in the scheduled release of Marshmallow.

As for the features of Android M OS, there are some additions to the apps area. First, there's a search bar up at the top. This is a text bar where users can just type words into, and Android Marshmallow searches the app collection for any apps with that name.  Users can also use the search term to look for other apps in Google Play.

Also, Android 6.0 Now on Tap has the potential to give Google insight into apps, just like it knows everything about the web. The feature can also recognize calendar events, addresses, music, and even landmarks. A review from The Verge praised Android M's new app permissions system and great new app launcher. The OS got 8.5/10 score from the reviewer.
