Anne Graham-Lotz, daughter of renowned evangelist Billy Graham, has said that she will vote for Donald Trump if he is the GOP presidential nominee in November, but will "pray for him" every day after doing so.

During a recent interview on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV, Lotz, 67, said she plans to vote for the Republican presidential nominee in the upcoming election.

"Whoever gets that nomination, and it looks like it may be Mr. [Donald] Trump, I don't know how things will fall out, I will vote for whoever gets that nomination," she said.

"And then when I vote for him, I'm going to pray for him every day. Daniel served under Nebuchadnezzar, he was like the Saddam Hussein of his day, and in the end Nebuchadnezzar gave glory to the God of Daniel because of what he saw in Daniel's life," Lotz added, referring to the Old Testament account of the prophet Daniel.

The founder of Angel Ministries also revealed that while she appreciates what Hillary Clinton has done in many ways "as far as a woman," she cannot vote for the Democratic presidential front-runner.

"There are just too many red flags there," she said. "Just the Benghazi situation is one and other things. There are some things there that are not right."

Lotz, who was recently named next chairman of National Day of Prayer Task Force, also suggested that ultimately, God - not man - can turn the United States around: "On the other side, I think it's beyond human solution," she said. "I don't think one man can make a difference, maybe make a difference in a negative or positive way but not turn this nation back to its foundation and sort things out."

"It's like every day, everywhere you look there's something unbelievable happening. You cannot believe this is America," she lamented.

While he has not publicly endorsed any particular candidate, Lotz's brother, Franklin Graham, has also urged US citizens to pray for the country's next leader and for "major change" in Washington.

"We need to continue to pray for major change in Washington and in our country through whoever is elected. Let's pray for God's will to be done and that He will give this nation leaders at every level who will look to Him for wisdom and direction," Graham, CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, posted to Facebook on Wednesday morning.

He added, "Regardless of who your candidate of choice is-or was-remember, they are only human. Without God in the equation, they will ultimately fail. Our hope can't rest in any candidate or political party-the only hope for America is in God and His Son, Jesus Christ."

The evangelist, who left the Republican Party late last year and declared himself an independent,  is currently traveling across the country for The Decision America Tour, which seeks to campaign for God and encourage Americans to turn back to the Lord.

In a recent op-ed for Decision magazine, Graham said that in an increasingly secular and sinful society, biblical principles and values have had a lessened impact upon education, government and politics. He said he has lost hope for either the Democratic or Republican parties and warned that if the country doesn't turn back to God, it will experience a fall from grace.

"Unless we repent and turn quickly to Him for forgiveness and restoration, our nation will no longer be the city on the hill that has helped bring the illuminating light of biblical truth to the world."

The siblings have also warned that God has removed himself from the United States and will soon judge the country for its rejection of Christianity.

"Romans 1 describes the type of judgment where we sin, and we refuse to repent of our sin, then He backs away from us," Lotz said last week during an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, when asked about the spiritual health of the nation.

"He removes Himself from us and He turns us over to ourselves. That's what I think I see in America. I believe we're entering into that phase of judgment, where God is backing away."
