So far, there are a lot of deals that are available on Black Friday or Cyber Monday for purchasing a new Apple MacBook Pro and MacBook Air on Black Friday at giant retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Wal-Mart.  However, there is also a rumor of a new 2016 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro suddenly becoming available on Black Friday, but there are reasons that this can be discounted as just a rumor.

A recent report from the Australian Network News says that it is "highly unlikely" that the Cupertino tech giant would go ahead and release it on November 27th.  Part of the reason is that Apple wants the iPad Pro to be getting the press for the holidays, and its keyboard cover practically makes it a laptop already.

As it is, it doesn't makes sense for Apple to dump a new product onto the market on Black Friday, as by the time the general public would have heard of it, it would be too late for them to purchase it during this high period of sales.

There is one thing that will kill the rumor of the new 2016 MacBook Pro and MacBook Air being released on Black Friday, and that is Black Friday.  At this writing, that will be in a few more days, but there are many ways to save on buying the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro that was unveiled last March in Apple's "Spring Forward" event.

The prices below are what a consumer would pay for a MacBook Air and MacBook Pro from the Apple store, as well as stores at Best Buy, Target, and Wal-Mart by viewing their Black Friday ads.  It should be noted that both Target and Wal-Mart do not have anything prominently display for sayings on any models of MacBooks, so it can be assumed that they are at their regular prices, which will probably only be slightly cheaper than what can be found at the Apple Store.
