The Arrow 4 Season 4 synopsis reads, "After defeating his most formidable foe to date and riding off into the sunset with longtime flame Felicity Smoak, Oliver Queen (a.k.a. The Arrow) (Stephen Amell) left Starling City with the hopes of beginning a new life. But will Oliver ever truly be able to leave behind his past as the Arrow, and, if so, what becomes of the team he has worked so hard to assemble? Will Diggle, Thea, and Laurel be left to continue Oliver's crusade without him? And with Malcolm Merlyn having ascended to the top of the League of Assassins as the new Ra's al Ghul, is anyone really safe? From Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, Arrow airs Wednesdays on October 7 The CW."

Earlier, Spoilers Guide revealed a new character will be casted in the next installment of Arrow 4. The reports revealed the introduction of a new "big character" named Patty, a mayoral candidate who is deeply committed to her city and willing to risk her life to stand up for the people.

Patty's character is described as a female 50s-early 60s and a peer and an old friend of the late Moira Queen. She was said to be once close with Oliver and Thea. She is also a mother, and cares for her daughter above all else, the report said.

In Season 3 of Arrow, Oliver Queen has become a public hero in Starling City following Slade Wilson's defeat. Queen Consolidated is sold to wealthy businessman, scientist, and aspiring hero Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh). Oliver struggles to bring his family back together, an old enemy returns, and Oliver becomes embroiled into a conflict with Ra's al Ghul (Matthew Nable).

After a rocky start, Laurel sets out to follow in Sara's footsteps as the Black Canary. John Diggle struggles with his new role as a family man, as Oliver no longer wants him in the field after the birth of John's daughter, while Felicity Smoak begins a new career as Vice President of Palmer Technologies (formerly Queen Consolidated).

In the latest Arrow Season 4 spoilers, fans were shown that Amell and Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak - Olicity) will be reprising their roles.

In an interview with The TV Junkies, Amell dropped some hints about the possible breakup of Oliver and Felicity. Although the couple will still have a blissful relationship at the beginning of the next season. In the fourth season of Arrow, Amell also confirmed Carly Diggle (Christie Laing) will not become Green Lantern but the Guardian from the 'Young Justice'.

Amell teases during the interview, "Well they've been away. They are away and I believe they are still away when we get going again," he added, "Well you never know, but I think if anyone has a decent chance it's Oliver and Felicity. Time will tell."

The actor also clarified some pointes he first shared on his Facebook chats, and added that Arrow Season 4 would pick up after the end of the third season.

"When I said there was a time jump people were like, 'Oh my God really?' I didn't think that was very spoilery because the show has always followed chronologically when we air. Whenever we've taken a break and go off the air from May til October, when we leave it's May and when we come back it's October," he said.
