We mentioned previously in an article about Lego's Avengers: Age of Ultron toys that these playsets inherently bring in spoilers when compared to the trailer for the film. There is another trailer out now, and it is possible that these new toys from Hasbro could reveal even more spoilers for the newest Marvel film, coming on May 1st, 2015.
One toy that seems to be very interesting is the Avengers HQ playset that has appeared on Toyland, and is actually four different toys rolled into one that include the Hulkbuster Breakout, Captain America Tower Defense, Iron Man Lab Attack, and the Cycle Blast Quinjet. This toy looks to be a replica of the Avengers headquarters, which will be under attack by Ultron sometime in the movie, perhaps during the climax. An extended trailer where the Avengers all try to reveal Thor's hammer show that Ultron crashes the party, and this could be where the final battle will be. One should notice in the image that there is some evil robot on tank tread, which could be one of many Ultron robots that show up in the trailers for the film.
The set is composed of figures that are 2.5 inches in height. This is a little bit smaller than the usual 3-inch figures that have worked ever since the days of Star Wars figures, but this was apparently successful with the recent Guardians of the Galaxy sets, according to Toymark.
Hasbro also seems to have some larger versions with the Titan Hero Tech Avengers, which have some interesting costume adjustments, according to Yahoo Tech. Captain America has more red on this uniform thanks to some stripes down his midsection that look like pockets or suspenders. Thor has some weird clips on the front of his outfit that hasn't been there in his movie series or the last Avengers film. The Hulk looks very much the same with his trademark purple pants, but Iron Man's mark 43 suit, an update from his Mark 42 suit from Iron Man 3, has more red than gold. By the way, these figures, valued at about $2, are each programmed to interact with each other with dialogue and sound effects from the actual Avengers: Age of Ultron film.
The one toy that seems to have everyone turning head is a Titan Hero Tech Hulkbuster Iron Man. It is no secret that Iron Man will duke it out with the not-so-jolly green giant from the trailer. Some have speculated that the Scarlet Witch will be controlling the Hulk and will provoke these two into combat. There is some evidence in the newest trailer that she has this power, even though the Scarlet Witch doesn't have this controlling power in the comic. The suit that Tony Stark wears was definitely built for just such an occasion, and it looks like something straight out of a Japanese anime series.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron release date is May 1st, 2015, and it promises to be the biggest blockbuster of the summer, considering the profits of its 2012 predecessor. All toys and trailers seem to bring spoilers that the massive confrontation with Ultron will take place at the end, inside the Avengers complex itself. Does this mean that New York City will become a battleground once more, or will this new film keep the conflict indoors in order to not repeat the big climax of the last Avengers movie? We'll have to wait until the summer to find out.
