Apple's iPhone 7 is coming this year, and it is expected to boast top-of-the-line features. However, OnePlus 3 aims to shake the smartphone market a little bit. This "flagship killer" reportedly contains top-class features at an affordable price. Now, let's check out the specs, release date, pricing and availability of iPhone 7 and OnePlus 3.
Let's start with OnePlus 3. CNET has reported the handset will feature AMOLED display technology, which is known for saving battery while providing a clearer screen. It will also have 5-inch screen partnered with a 1080p display.
Under the hood, OnePlus 3 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor. To compliment that chipset, the device will also have a 3,000mAh battery. Rumors around the internet claim the phone will come in two versions: one with 32GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM and the top-spec with 64GB of storage and 6GB of RAM.
The handset could also sport 16-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front facing camera.
A report from Techno Buffalo stated the cheaper version of OnePlus 3 will be priced around $307. The top-spec will be available with roughly $384 price tag.
OnePlus 3 may not have top-of-the-line specs and features, but it might become a best seller as latest reports say iPhone 7 could be a big disappointment for Apple.
KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo claims the upcoming iPhone 7 won't have "many attractive selling points," as per report from the Telegraph.
Leaked images of iPhone 7 published in Nowhereelse.fr reveals the handset could only have minor upgrades from the iPhone 6S. New images show Apple decided to remove the smartphone's oldest universal standard, headphone jacks. Also, the tech giant could use three-generation-old chassis design for the iPhone 7.
Gordon Kelly of Forbes says Apple might not install innovative features to iPhone 7. The reason is the company is now looking forward to its projects in 2017, which marks ten years since the introduction of the first generation Apple handset.
However, it is rumored the iPhone 7 will have A10 processor chipset and the M10 motion co-processor. The handset will have upgrades regarding RAM capacity. From the 2GB used on the iPhone 6S, it will have 3GB of RAM.
The Week claims the entry-level 4.7-inch iPhone 7 will be priced around $780, and it could be announced in September.
