After a long months of treatment following an incident last January, Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, passed away on July 26th. There have been reports of her boyfriend, Nick Brown, was somehow involved in Bobbi Kristina Brown being found face-down in her bathtub, and there is an investigation underway for the cause of death. The funeral and memorial service for Bobbi Kristina Brown was solemn, in spite of an interruption from her aunt Leolah. According to 11Alive, there is a criminal investigation into the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown is underway and there is a civil suit filed in Fulton County that could result in charges for Nick Gordon. So far, Gordon is named in a $10 million lawsuit that alleges that he caused his girlfriend's death during a jealous, drug fueled rage.
In fact, the civil suit reveals that Gordon was high on cocaine when he beat Bobbi Kristina, and then gave her a toxic cocktail and put her face down in a tub of water before going to bed with another woman. Phil Holloway, a legal analyst, has stated that it is "premature to believe that there will or there won't be criminal charges because there's such a big difference between proving an allegation in a civil complaint and proving a criminal offense beyond a reasonable doubt".
Holloway states that the autopsy could be holding up the criminal case. The medical examiner office has stated that it hasn't found any significant injuries on Bobbi Kristina Brown, but additional lab tests will need to be performed before the exact cause of death can be determined.
As for Nick Gordon, he has two teams of lawyers that are representing him, one for the civil case and one for the criminal case. Gordon has also hired a famed private investigator named T.J. Ward who was on the Natalie Holloway case several years ago. All three parties involved in the Gordon defense are claiming that the lawsuit filed against Brown as "slanderous and a work of fiction".
As for the funeral and memorial service for Bobbi Kristina Brown, Radar Online reports that she was laid to rest next to her mother, Whitney Houston, on August 3. Radar took a picture of Brown laying in her coffin on a white satin pillow, but chose not to publish it, even though it was worth quite a bit on the paparazzi market.
At the funeral, it was reported by several sources including US Magazine that Bobbi Kristina's aunt, Leolah Brown, interrupted her funeral on Saturday, August 1st, at Saint James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, GA. Leolah Brown, Bobby Brown's sister, apparently screamed at Pat Houston during the private service. Leolah is reported as saying: "Whitney is rolling over in her grave! You are so wrong for this, Pat!"
Leolah was escorted out of the building and asked to "cool off", but was eventually allowed back inside in order to sing hymns with others.
