The slowly reviving Green Bay Packers will welcome the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day football at the Lambeau Field. The match is scheduled to take place at 8:30 pm ET on Thursday (November 26). With the promising recovery of the Green Bay Packers, sports analysts believe that the host team will win this face off.

However, it looks like the Chicago Bears will not go down without a fight. According to sources, injured running back Matt Forte eyes a return just in time for the match against the Green Bay Packers. The eight-year NFL veteran is at the top of the board regarding scrimmage runs, garnering 12,198 yards and 25 games with 150 scrimmage yards. Needless to say, the return of Forte will boost the chances of the Chicago Bears in the upcoming Thursday Night Football game.

"I probably could have played last Sunday, but I might not have been able to play coming up this week if something would have happened," explained Forte, referring to his absence during the team's game against the Denver Broncos, according to ESPN. The Chicago Bears running back went on to say, "Time heals and stuff. Just a couple of extra days will help. I'm good enough to go."

Forte further shared that he is "excited" to finally get back in the field following his injuries. He noted, "Not really a lot of fun watching the games and doing all that and not be able to help your team win, so I'm not used to doing that. But it's going to be fun to get back out there on the field and help us out. Just looking forward to being out there."

The return of Forte will undoubtedly bolster the performance of the Chicago Bears - a fact that quarterback Jay Cutler is optimistic about. He said, "It's great [having Forte out there]. "Getting Matt back is only going to help us. He looked good out there today. I know he was close last week to going. Anytime you get No. 22 back in the lineup, it's going to help."

The Chicago Bears are facing the Green Bay Packers coming off a defeat in the hands of the Denver Broncos. Cutler managed to throw an interception as well as complete 18 of the 32 passes for 265 yards in the match that ended in a 17-15 loss. Josh Bellamy pitched in 57 yards in four catches; while Ka'Deem Carey had nine attempts and rushed 32 yards. The Chicago Bears currently hold a 4-6 record.

Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers have a 7-3 record this season. The Rodgers-led football squad will enter the Thursday Night Football game with a 30-13 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. In the said match, Rodgers had two touchdowns. The quarterback also completed 16 of the 34 passes for 212 yards. Eddie Lacy, who is said to be slowly getting back to his old form, pitched in 22 yards. DeVante Adams contributed three receptions for 36 yards.
