The Chicago Bulls are watching in horror as their losing streak keeps getting extended this season despite the assurances from Dwyane Wade, Rajon Rondo and Jimmy Butler. The team is falling in the Eastern Conference and getting buried behind LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers, the Toronto Raptors of DeMar DeRozan, Isaiah Thomas' Boston Celtics and even the once struggling New York Knicks of Carmelo Anthony. Although the entry of the former Miami Heat star and Sacramento Kings veteran boosted the performance of the Nikola Mirotic team, a number of fans still believe that the group lacks star power. Hence, a potential Klay Thompson trade could be in the works.

Stephen Curry puts Klay Thompson in danger

The Golden State Warriors have finally learned to mesh well with the new lineup of superstars in Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson. However, the Dub Nation might need to review the contracts in their roster especially after the entry of the former Oklahoma City Thunder star in the team. Throughout the season, fans noticed that Klay Thompson has been playing a diminished role in the hardwood court. While his impressive 60-point game earlier this year pushed away the trade talks surrounding his name, the speculations are once again back in full force.

Rumors are rife that the impending Stephen Curry contract extension would push the Golden State Warriors to the limit in their budget. With the recent Kevin Durant free agent contract, the Draymond Green team would need to let go of more players in their roster. Among the basketball stars who could be used as a trading chip, it appears that a Klay Thompson trade is expected to be the most valuable.

Potential destinations for Splash Bro

If a Klay Thompson trade would actually turn into fruition, then a number of NBA teams are actually rumored to be interested. The list includes the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers, the Sacramento Kings and San Antonio Spurs. However, it looks like the Chicago Bulls are the contenders in this potential NBA trade. With money to spend thanks to the reasonable contracts of Dwyane Wade, Rajon Rondo and Jimmy Butler, the Taj Gibson team could be a good destination for a Klay Thompson trade.

While no official confirmation has been given by any of the parties concerned, fans of the Chicago Bulls believe that a Klay Thompson trade would not only benefit the scoreboard but also the locker room. In the past years, the Jimmy Butler team has been in dire need of a morale booster. What do you think?
