Chris Pratt gave all the glory to God while accepting the Choice Sci-Fi Movie Actor prize for "Guardians Of The Galaxy 2" at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards over the weekend.

"What an honor and privilege to be here," he told the cheering audience while holding his surfboard trophy. "I would not be here with the ease and grace I have in my heart without my Lord and savior Jesus Christ."

The 38-year-old Hollywood star's appearance at the Teen Choice Awards marks his first public outing since announcing his separation from wife Anna Faris.

As reported, on Aug. 6, Pratt and Faris - who married in 2009 and share son Jack, 5 - made a public statement about their split, explaining that they "tried hard for a long time" and are "really disappointed."

"Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward," they wrote. "We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."

Pratt has in recent years become one of Hollywood's most prominent actors, best known for the films "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Jurassic Park." He frequently discusses his faith and shares Bible verses on his social media pages. Over Easter weekend, he made headlines after erecting a giant cross on a hillside.

He explained to Stephen Colbert, "It's Saturday before Easter, if you think about it, that's what Jesus was doing 2000-something years before on a Saturday before Easter, was carrying a cross up a hill!'"

The actor also regularly opens up about his love for his family, making his divorce particularly shocking to some.

"I'm a man of faith, and I believe that God works in mysterious ways and gives us signs and gifts in life -and those gifts oftentimes come in the form of people," he said earlier this year while receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame "[My mother] gave absolutely everything she had to raise us, every fiber of her being. And oftentimes, we weren't cash-rich, but we were never love-poor. You gave everything and you were always proud of me, way before this."

Pratt included a special shout-out to Faris, saying how much he loves her and thanking her for everything she has given him, especially his "greatest star in the galaxy," their son.
