Love Chris Tomlin and his collection of songs? You can now check him out on the Good Good Father Tour this October 13 at St. Paul, Minnesota. No Christian worth his or her salt (pardon the pun, we are all called to be salt and light of the world) who loves modern day worship songs would not have heard of Chris Tomlin before. He is famous for numerous worship songs that we sing in contemporary church services each week, such as “Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies)” and “How Great Is Our God”, which has since been translated to so many different languages, a World Edition version of that song has also made its rounds.

What can we expect from the upcoming Good Good Father tour? Well, old “classics”, if you can call those, will certainly be on the menu, but you can also be sure that there will be hits from the latest album, Never Lose Sight. It is not a surprise at all to know that Never Lose Sight made its debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Albums Chart, which goes to show the kind of consistent pulling power that Tomlin has among his fan base.

The Never Lose Sight album will boast of Tomlin's latest single, "Home". “Home” managed to end up as the top song on Billboard's Christian Airplay, in addition to the tour's namesake and chart-topping hit, "Good Good Father." Tomlin shared, "It's incredible to see how the song 'Good Good Father' has impacted people around the world. Every night as we begin to sing the song, there's no doubt of what it means to so many people. That is why I am excited to announce the Good Good Father tour with my good [good] friend Matt Maher. I can't wait for these unforgettable nights of music and worship."

Maher has joined Tomlin before on tour, so this will not be a totally new experience for him, but we are sure that it is going to be equally, if not more, amazing. The Good Good Father Tour is touted to continue after "Chris Tomlin: Worship at Red Rocks," and it is expected to be a sellout tour based on previous experiences. Other past tours of Tomlin’s include "Worship Night In America Tour" that saw the likes of Big Daddy Weave, Phil Wickham and Zach Williams join him. That particular tour was a gruelling one, with 23 stops in arenas across the US over spring. Nashville was part of the picture, where Tomlin rewrote history by holding the largest ticketed Christian concert at Bridgestone Arena ever. This particular bit of history still stands true today.

Maher gushed about Tomlin, saying, "After writing so many songs together over the past decade, I've had the privilege of getting to know Chris as a peer, a friend and a brother in Christ. Participating in Worship Night In America over the past 2 years and seeing Chris create an opportunity for the whole body of Christ to come together publicly to worship God, I am honored and excited about being part of the 'Good Good Father Tour' this fall."
