Candace Cameron Bure was noticeably absent from the first segment of the season kickoff of "The View", sparking rumors that ABC may have intentionally kept the outspoken Christian actress from engaging in a discussion surrounding country clerk Kim Davis.

Fox News reports that Tuesday's episode of the popular show opened with Whoopi Goldberg and the rest of the show's stars - excluding Bure - discussing what they did during their time off from filming.

After Goldberg welcomed back Joy Behar, who returned to the show two years after she ended her 16-year stint as a co-host, the group focused their attention on Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, who was jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

During their discussion, which was largely focused on criticizing the apostolic Christian clerk, the women mocked the fact that Davis was married four times.

"Four times, have you seen the lady? She's a monster!" said comedian Michelle Collins.

Bure did not make an appearance on screen until thirty minutes later, when the women's discussion of Davis had ended.

The actress explained her absence by stating she's going to have a limited role through November since she's filming "Fuller House," the reboot of her former ABC sitcom that will debut on Netflix next year.

"I am doing my new show 'Fuller House...' We're having so much fun doing the show. It's great being back together," she said. "I'm going to be commuting back and forth and I am not going to be at the table every day here until I finish up 'Fuller House.'"

Bure added, "I am happy to be a part of this team. [The 'Fuller House' cast is] wrapping our 13th episode in November, so after November I will be here more consistently."

However, some have speculated that ABC intentionally kept Bure out of the conversation regarding Davis because when the actress was on the show as a guest in July, she had a widely-publicized argument with co-host Raven Symoné about whether a bakery in Oregon had the right to refuse to bake a wedding cake for a lesbian couple.

Earlier in August, a source told Page Six that Bure, who is also a "Dancing With the Stars" alum, was hired in an attempt to feature a "controversial conservative" personality, similar to that former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who left "The View" in 2013 for a position at Fox News.

According to E! News, Bure took to Facebook Monday night to ask her fans to show her some support and give her encouragement as she is often criticized by "nasty" liberal viewers.

"Please encourage me if you watch the show. Please tag The View on your social media outlets if you have anything kind to say about me or my viewpoint," she wrote. "The majority of the feedback I get from The View audience is from liberals (whom I love) but are mean, hateful and downright nasty toward me. It's incredibly disheartening to read."

She added, And while I know I have the support of many, most of those supporters don't vocalize it on social media," she added. "So all I read and The View hears are the negative and discouraging comments I'm tagged to that call me a vile, discussing, worthless and bigoted human being."

The mother-of-three asked her friends and followers on Facebook to "speak up" if they agree with her opinions and viewpoints on the show. "Don't do what many often do on voting day...not show up," she ended her post. "Be a voice-if not for me, but for a show like this so they can hear more than one point of View! If we don't speak up, they'll never know."
