Chip and Joanna Gaines, the Christian stars of HGTV's "Fixer Upper," have announced they are embarking on yet another adventure, opening a garden shop in their hometown of Waco, Texas.
On Tuesday, the couple announced on Instagram: "Our newest addition to the Silos grounds is the garden shop, Magnolia Seed and Supply! We will have a make your own fairy garden section, seeds, and supplies to tend to your garden. Come and see us when the shop opens on April 25!"
Joanna also shared a little bit more about the additions to Magnolia Market at the Silos, which officially opened back in October, on her personal blog: the expansive property will also include a bakery, food trucks, a garden, and lawn complete with comfy chairs and games for the whole family.
"On the weekends you can find our lawn filled with families playing lawn games, so we've added a swing set, giant jenga, cornhole, hula hoops, jump ropes and more to the mix," she said.
Joanna encouraged those hoping to visit the property to "wear sunscreen and drinking plenty of water before and during your visit."
"For those of you planning a visit to the Silos this summer, we hope you enjoy! More is coming and the bakery will open in just a couple months, so stay tuned for even more!" she wrote.
While the Gaines have been remodeling and flipping homes for 13 years, only recently have they seen their empire expand to include a real estate company, construction company, design firm, nationally distributed furnishings line and boutique.
In October, the couple will release their first book The Magnolia Story, which was written with New York Times bestselling collaborator Mark Dagostino.
A description of the forthcoming book on Joanna's personal blog reads, "The Magnolia Story is the first book from Chip and Joanna, offering their fans a detailed look at their life together. From the very first renovation project they ever tackled together, to the project that nearly cost them everything; from the childhood memories that shaped them, to the twists and turns that led them to the life they share on the farm today."
The couple, who met at Baylor University, is quick to credit their massive success to their Christian faith and dedication to putting God first in every area of their lives.
"Our family has made a commitment to put Christ first, a lifestyle our parents modeled for us very well. They showed us how to keep our marriage and family centered around God," Chip said during a recent interview with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Joanna echoed the sentiment last April during a video for Baylor University in which she discussed her testimony and how she seeks to use her platform to share her faith.
"I can look back now on the pattern of my life and really believe God has a purpose for me, but He also has purpose for you," the mother-of-four said. "Whether you're staying home and raising beautiful babies or you're the CEO of a multi-million dollar company, let God speak into your life," Joanna continued.
"Let his father heart come and say, 'This is what I have for you.' I think that's the key - not believing the lies, fixing our eyes on Jesus, and walking in the truth."
