Russell Wilson is not budging on his Christian stance on abstinence and girlfriend Ciara is very supportive. Although the singer said it can get quite challenging, she said it was easy for her to make the decision to honor his boyfriend's faith and views on celibacy.

Speaking with People magazine at the Veuve Clicquot Carnaval in Miami on Saturday, the 30-year-old shared that she and Wilson has a very healthy relationship despite the lack of sex. She said it was not hard for her to decide to be supportive of what Wilson wants at all, even if it is now considered unconventional.

"No, it's not hard at all," she shared. "He's an awesome guy and a very confident guy. Just like I feel like I'm a woman that knows what I want, he's a man who knows what he wants."

She even said it has been fun and beautiful for her overall.

"It's just a fun new chapter in life for me; we talk about everything, and I think that's what you should be able to do as people and partners in a relationship," she continues. "So, that's what makes it really beautiful."

As for when she's getting engaged, Ciara is not rushing and does not want people to pressure them into thinking about it yet. "It's so funny how people put so much pressure on that kind of stuff; you know. It will happen when it's supposed to," she said.

For his part, the Seattle Seahawks quarterback shared last year (back at the time when they're still newly into the relationship) that God is the center of their relationship.

"For me, I knew that God had brought me in her life to bless her and for her to bless me," Wilson shared at a July 5 appearance at The Rock Church. "We're not going to be perfect, by any means. But He's anointed both of us and He's calling for us to do something special."

He added that when he saw Ciara on tour, he heard God spoke to him asking him to "lead her." He said that if a person can love someone without the sex, then it really means the love is there. He added that it's not an easy feat and need prayers to see this celibacy goal through.

"I need y'all to pray for us. . . If there's a 10, she's a 15," he said.
