The last matchup in the quarterfinals at the Copa America 2015 tournament will take place in Chile on Saturday between Brazil and Paraguay.
According to Michael Hincks of Sports Mole, Brazil qualified for the quarterfinals after a 2-1 victory over Venezuela. However, they did it without their star player, Neymar, who was banned for four matches after appearing to headbutt Jeison Murillo of Colombia.
"Neymar is set to leave the Brazilian national football team headquarters this morning in Santiago de Chile," a statement from the Brazilian Football Confederation, or CBF, said.
The CBF also indicated in its statement that the organization would not seek an appeal on behalf of Neymar.
"During a meeting on Sunday night between Neymar and the technical management, it was decided that the CBF would respect CONMEBOL's decision," the organization's statement said.
Ricardo Zuniga of the Associated Press described how Neymar lost his temper in the game against Colombia, which led to his ban for the remainder of the Copa America tournament.
"He kicked the ball at a Colombian player, appeared to try head-butting another and then accosted the referee, grabbing his arms and swearing at him," Zuniga wrote.
Despite sending Neymar off the team for now, Brazil coach Dunga has turned his attention to Paraguay.
"It will be like a final," Dunga warned.
According to the Associated Press, Paraguay has improved its chances in the Copa America tournament thanks to coach Ramon Diaz of Argentina. The team also has Argentina-born Lucas Barrios on their side.
"It's an important team, and we've shown that right from the first match," Barrios said. "We are stronger than ever."
A separate report from the Associated Press described how Brazil earned its spot in the quarterfinals without the help of Neymar.
"Robinho and Philippe Coutinho, who replaced midfielder Fred, gave Brazil more attacking," the Associated Press wrote. "After scoring, Silva raced to the sideline and waved to Neymar, who was sitting in the stands wrapped up under a blue winter cap."
The Associated Press also reported that Brazil, which won the World Cup five times, hopes to recover its reputation in the Copa America tournament. That country still hasn't forgotten the "humiliating 7-1 loss to Germany" at home last year during the World Cup semifinals.
"It has looked ordinary in three group matches in Chile, a shadow of Brazilian teams that were once feared," the Associated Press wrote.
However, the Associated Press still considered Brazil a favorite to win the tournament. Other favored teams to win it all included Argentina, Chile, Colombia and defending champion Uruguay.
The game between Brazil and Paraguay will begin streaming online at 5:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. PT Saturday on beIN Sports Connect and on Fubo TV.
